In the area:
ESTEPONA is within 10 minutes by car. In the city you can see the charming old quarter with the Plaza de las Flores, where you can eat well or have a drink in the numerous tapas bars or cafes.
There is also the famous Paseo Maritimo promenade with its port and marina to the west. There are also many restaurants here, and on Sundays there is a market with interesting leather goods, jewellery, clothes and crafts.
SELWO SAFARI & AMUSEMENT PARK – this is the most famous of Spain’s safari parks and is just 5 minutes by car from Costality. A great way to spend a day with your family.
SAN PEDRO – town within 10 minutes by car. Recommendable and lively fairs are held there every Thursday (in the fairgrounds, north of the main road, on the route to Ronda).
San Pedro also has a great beach promenade, lots of shops, banks, restaurants and cafes.
GIBRALTAR – 50 minutes by car. (In summer, traffic jams can form, so it’s better to leave your car on land and go to the peninsula by minibus). This is an interesting day trip. There are many shops of famous British brands on site, such as M&S and duty-free shops. The marina with elegant restaurants and a guided minibus tour of the most interesting places are worth recommending. The cable car takes you to the top of the rock where the famous Gibraltar monkeys live. The applicable currency is the British pound.
PUERTO BANUS – 15 minutes by car. It has a famous marina; many famous boutiques and the great department store El Corte Ingres is also worth a visit. On Saturdays, near the bullring, north of the main road, there is a huge market with clothing, leather goods, jewellery and anything else we can imagine.
MARBELLA – 22 minutes by car – has the famous beach promenade and a beautiful old town with the wonderful Plaza de los Naranjos (Orange Square), as well as many great boutiques and restaurants.
SOTOGRANDE and PUERTO DUQUESA – these are world-famous marinas with many restaurants, bars and boutiques. They are on the road to Gibraltar.
RONDA – 1 hour by car – this is an old Andalusian city, beautifully situated among the mountains. The road leading to it is very picturesque. Located there, Plaza de Toros is the oldest working bullring in Spain. We recommend that you eat lunch in one of the restaurants suspended above the magnificent ravine that divides the city.
Andalusia is famous for its charming white villages picturesquely situated in the mountains. We recommend visiting Casares, Gaucin, Benahavis (with the highest concentration of high-end restaurants in the region) and Istan. They are all approximately 1 hour’s drive from Costality. During further trips, you can visit Castellar de la Frotera, Jerez de la Frotera and Seville.
